Senior Multi Level Cost Estimator

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop complex, multi-discipline cost estimates that are detailed, accurate, and fully documented
• Lead and facilitate estimating team meetings to identify project deliverables, scope, and work steps
• Integrate estimating inputs across engineering, construction, maintenance, operations, and environmental disciplines
• Establish activity priorities and develop complete cost estimate packages, including schedule and resource impacts
• Identify, analyze, and resolve schedule conflicts, cost risks, and estimating issues
• Support the development and implementation of estimating methodologies, standards, and innovative approaches
• Maintain compliance with approved training, policies, procedures, and safety instructions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 5-12 years of relevant experience (depending on level: Specialist II, Specialist III, or Senior Specialist)
• Experience performing construction quantity takeoffs from engineering drawings and sketches
• Experience supporting cost estimate development within large, complex projects
• US citizenship is required due to government contract requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Cost estimating experience within the DOE complex
• Experience supporting DOE Capital Asset Projects in accordance with DOE Order 413.3B
• Proficiency with cost estimating and project controls software such as MS Excel, PCRS, and Primavera P6
