Senior MRB/Liaison Engineer

Responsibilities

• Autonomously perform complex stress calculations for metallic, composite, and hybrid structures to address manufacturing non-conformities, airframe repairs, and modifications.
• Ensure all solutions follow established Airbus methods, processes, and procedures to maintain safety and regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with Design, Manufacturing, and Quality departments to develop optimum technical solutions and integrate stress requirements.
• Develop and maintain deep component and aircraft familiarity to provide prompt responses to production needs.
• Work towards and maintain Technical Signature Delegation (T400) for concessions regarding primary and secondary aircraft structures.
• Check and approve or pre-approve stress justifications for non-conformities or aircraft modifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Civil, or Mechanical) with an emphasis on structural design and mechanics of materials.
• 9 years of total experience in stress analysis specifically related to airframe structures.
• Proven experience in airframe design involving both metallic and composite materials.
• Technical knowledge of F&DT, SRM, MRB, and regulatory standards including FAR/JAR/CS/Part 25.
• Proficiency with industry-standard software including CATIA, NASTRAN, and PATRAN.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office and Google Suite.
