Senior Motion Designer

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain the unified motion language, choreographed transitions, and physics engines across Glance’s mobile surfaces
• Partner with UX, Visual Design, Product, and Engineering from ideation to ensure motion is an architectural foundation
• Create reusable motion principles, interpolation curves, timing guidelines, and asset packages for scalable kinetic behaviour
• Build high-fidelity interactive prototypes and collaborate with front-end Android engineers to translate motion into production code
• Mentor junior designers on UI motion principles and represent the studio’s motion innovation internally and externally

Requirements

• Motion product portfolio showcasing interactive prototyping, UI animation, or kinetic system frameworks in shipped software
• Deep structural mastery of easing curves, interpolation, velocity, spatial tracking, and visual storytelling in mobile environments
• High proficiency with After Effects, Figma, Principle, ProtoPie, or equivalent interactive prototyping tools
• Ability to communicate complex motion parameters and behaviour definitions precisely to engineering partners

Preferred Qualifications

• Native familiarity with gesture tracking, system windows, and navigation transitions on modern Android OS
• Experience building code-exportable animation pipelines such as Lottie, custom vector drawables, or native engine transition values
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Post-Graduate degree in Animation, Media Arts, Interactive Design, Film/Video Design, or equivalent
