Senior Modernisation Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and approve mechanical solutions for modernisation projects on a project basis
• Produce and approve drawings for local manufacturing, special parts, and steel work using AutoCAD and Inventor
• Ensure all designs comply with current codes and regulations
• Provide and approve drive calculations
• Assist with the review of order specifications and the establishment of ordering processes
• Support the sales team with technical specification queries
• Manage drawing storage and databases to ensure accessibility across all regions
• Support the site survey process by providing design recommendations

Requirements

• Minimum of a diploma-level or equivalent formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role, such as Sales Support Engineering, creating customised technical solutions
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor software
• Strong technical communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to proactively manage project milestones and meet required deadlines
