Senior Mobile Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the primarily Flutter-based mobile platform, including native Swift/iOS and Kotlin/Android integrations
• Manage real-time audio capture, streaming, chunked uploads, and long-form clinical recording
• Implement offline-first data handling, local persistence, background sync, and recovery flows
• Optimize app performance regarding startup time, responsiveness, memory, and battery usage
• Build foundational mobile frameworks for audio processing, caching, state management, and networking
• Strengthen mobile reliability by reducing crashes and improving release readiness
• Partner with product, backend, AI, and design teams to unblock development
• Mentor other engineers and shape technical direction for mobile architecture

Requirements

• Professional mobile development experience with deep expertise in iOS, Android, or both
• Strong native expertise in Swift/iOS and/or Kotlin/Android
• Experience building or maintaining production-grade mobile infrastructure at scale
• Experience in cross-platform environments like Flutter, React Native, or Kotlin Multiplatform
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, CI/CD, testing, and observability
• Ownership mindset and ability to drive ambiguous infrastructure work to completion

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with audio/video streaming and real-time media pipelines
• Experience with offline-first systems and sync engines
• Proficiency with mobile observability tools like Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry, or Datadog
• Experience with release automation tools like Fastlane or Play Console automation
• Exposure to healthcare, HIPAA, or regulated mobile environments
• Flutter/Dart experience including Riverpod
• Experience with mobile over-the-air update platforms like Shorebird or CodePush
