Senior Mobile Game Engineer

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of current and new games using the Unity engine
• Participate in project planning, estimation, and technical research
• Design and implement solutions to enhance game services and features
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability challenges
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, artists, and analysts
• Work within the Zynga engineering culture to continuously improve technical processes

Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or an equivalent technical field
• 3-4+ years of professional game development experience
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Unity
• Experience developing UI, audio, animation systems, and shader effects
• Strong CPU and GPU optimization skills for mobile platforms
• Deep understanding of mobile platform requirements and constraints
• Proficiency in object-oriented design, coding, and testing patterns
• Strong analytical and practical problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in English (speaking and reading)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in native development for Android or iOS
• Proven track record of releasing Unity titles on mobile platforms
• Experience developing multiplayer games
• Specialized expertise in areas such as Architecture, Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, Networking, WebGL, or Client Security
