Senior ML Engineer - Mapping

Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize production-grade lane and route network mapping ML with high-performance autonomy system integration
• Research, train, and evaluate advanced neural architectures for object detection, segmentation, tracking, depth estimation, and 3D reconstruction
• Develop data curation, auto-labeling, and active learning pipelines
• Build evaluation scripts for lane and route network accuracy across diverse Operational Design Domains
• Collaborate with ML and Autonomy engineers to deploy and validate mapping features to the vehicle fleet

Requirements

• M.S. or Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
• 5+ years industry experience developing and deploying ML/DL models for mapping or computer vision at scale
• Deep expertise in computer vision foundations, lane-level topology, vectorized mapping networks, and BEV-based scene representation
• Expertise in PyTorch or TensorFlow, including synthetic data generation and model evaluation
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++ with modular software design and Linux-based development experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
• Strong understanding of HD maps, lane geometry, connectivity, and semantic attributes
• Experience with feature extraction and fusion from street-level and overhead imagery
• Expertise in ML optimization for real-time products with limited compute
• Publication record at top-tier conferences such as CVPR, NeurIPS, ICCV, ECCV, or ICLR
