Senior ML Data Processing Developer

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Research team to define, build, automate, scale, and manage data pipelines for training datasets
• Build and maintain data processing pipelines including deduplication, quality scoring, and PII scrubbing
• Ensure ingested data meets compliance, Data Governance, and legal obligations
• Develop scoring and filtering toolchains using heuristics, LLM-as-a-judge, and ML classifiers
• Instrument pipelines with data-quality monitoring, guardrails, and alerting
• Collaborate with Research and Legal teams to identify and acquire large-scale text corpora
• Design and maintain strict leakage detection mechanisms to prevent evaluation contamination
• Build internal tooling for researchers to explore and query datasets

Requirements

• Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in data processing, ML engineering, or NLP
• Proven track record handling massive unstructured text datasets at trillion-token scale
• Hands-on experience with distributed processing frameworks like Spark, Ray, or Flink
• Experience with data privacy (PII scrubbing) and content-safety filtering
• Strong Python proficiency for production-grade code
• Experience with pipeline orchestration frameworks like Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience training or fine-tuning ML models for data-quality tasks
• Familiarity with LLM inference optimization (vLLM, SGLang)
• Familiarity with containerized deployment (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with ML experiment tracking tools like Weights and Biases
• Experience with data licensing or web-scale data acquisition
