Senior Middle Office Manager

Eclipse Trading is a leading proprietary trading firm founded in 2007. With over 110 employees across Hong Kong, Sydney, Shanghai, and Chicago, the firm deploys expertise across equity derivatives, delta one, ETFs, commodity derivatives, and cryptocurrency.

Responsibilities

• Act as the business lead for the selection and implementation of a new firm-wide post-trade platform
• Partner with internal IT, Trading, and Risk teams to manage project design, configuration, and migration
• Lead the re-engineering of core middle office workflows including trade processing, reconciliation, and cash management
• Assume full ownership of daily middle office and operations functions to ensure post-trade integrity
• Serve as the primary escalation point for traders regarding trade-related issues and position queries
• Develop and mentor the Middle Office team to manage new platforms and exception-based environments
• Drive improvements for operational systems, processes, and internal controls
• Establish and monitor KPIs to track operational efficiency and risk reduction

Requirements

• University degree in a relevant discipline
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Middle Office, Trade Support, or Operations at a financial institution
• Expert-level understanding of the multi-asset trade lifecycle (equities, options, futures)
• Strong knowledge of corporate actions, P&L calculation, and multi-currency cash management
• Advanced knowledge of Python, MySQL, and Excel (VBA/macros)
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to architect new processes
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills
• Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin

• Experience leading or playing a key role in implementing a major portfolio management system
