Senior Microsoft Windows Field Deployment Technician

Responsibilities

• Deploy, image, and set up equipment including PCs, laptops, docking stations, monitors, printers, and scanners
• Manage equipment installation and removal at VA medical center campuses and offsite training centers
• Verify current VA computer images and ensure availability for security scans and updates
• Configure network connectivity and Active Directory assignments for training use
• Manage inventory and network connectivity at training sites to ensure stability during sessions
• Oversee workload and assist with technical staff management

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in imaging, installing computer equipment, and managing technical staff
• Experience with hardware/software support, troubleshooting, and system imaging
• Ability to unpack, move, and install IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to traverse campus, stoop, crouch, and reach to set up equipment
• Must have personal transportation available during work hours
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent (or 13 years of experience in lieu of degree)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system
• Previous experience working with the VA
• Public Trust clearance
• Experience with Microsoft Windows desktop deployments
• Experience in IT helpdesk Tier 1 or 2
