Senior Metrology Specialist

Responsibilities

• Install, qualify, and onboard new laboratory equipment and associated control software in accordance with SOPs
• Perform calibration, verification, preventative maintenance, and lifecycle documentation for validated instrumentation
• Troubleshoot, repair, and coordinate vendor support for analytical instruments to minimize downtime
• Partner cross-functionally with Facilities, IT, Quality, and Supply Chain to support infrastructure and compliance needs
• Develop and improve preventative maintenance programs, including risk assessments and gap analyses
• Serve as a subject matter expert during audits and inspections and support resolution of quality incidents and CAPAs
• Train and mentor employees on equipment use, maintenance practices, and metrology procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Four years of experience in a laboratory environment
• Hands-on experience in calibration, verification, and repair of measuring and test equipment
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office, specifically strong Excel capability
• Ability to troubleshoot complex laboratory equipment and interpret engineering documentation and schematics
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
