About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering surveillance and technical support for materials-related works across capital projects and operations
- Perform failure analysis regarding metallurgical deficiencies or changes in material properties
- Review welding procedures, consumable selections, and material certificates to ensure conformance with industry codes and standards
- Participate in mill audits, vendor evaluations, and production runs for routine materials manufacturing
- Develop and implement innovative technological solutions to address non-routine engineering problems
- Provide on-site field support during scheduled maintenance activities and participate in unit reliability programs
- Mentor early career materials integrity engineers to support their professional development
- Represent the company in industry engagement activities such as MTI, API, and AMPP
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas industry
- Deep technical knowledge in one or more of the following: Metallurgy and Manufacturing, Welding/Fabrication, Inspection/Testing, NDE (Non-Destructive Examination), Failure Analysis, or Materials Selection
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across organizations and manage external relationships
- Capability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
- Proven track record of personal ownership in developing self and others
- Flexibility to travel internationally to work sites and fabrication locations as required by business needs
