Senior Merchant, Handbags

Responsibilities

• Own seasonal line plans, pricing architecture, and SKU rationalization for the Handbags category
• Translate brand vision and consumer insights into commercially viable, trend-forward assortments
• Manage global line plans to address regional and channel-specific needs across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale
• Drive business performance to achieve sales, margin, and inventory goals
• Analyze sales performance and conduct competitive benchmarking to optimize assortments
• Partner with Design, Product Development, Planning, and Marketing to align product execution with financial targets
• Manage and mentor a direct report

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Merchandising, Business, or a related field
• 10+ years of leather goods merchandising experience, preferably within luxury brands
• Proven ability to develop and execute seasonal assortment strategies
• Expertise in retail math, margin management, and interpreting sales data
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience working with PLM systems
• Strong leadership, presentation, and cross-functional communication skills
