Senior MEP Cost Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed cost estimates for MEP systems in data centre projects
• Analyse and report on cost variances and provide recommendations for optimisation
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure cost-effective design solutions
• Prepare and manage tender documents, contracts, and procurement strategies
• Conduct value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Oversee change management processes and negotiate contract variations
• Provide expert advice on MEP systems and associated costs to stakeholders
• Monitor and forecast project cash flows
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Mentor and guide junior team members in MEP cost management practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field
• Professional certification from RICS or CIOB
• 7-10 years of experience in MEP cost management, specifically in data centres
• Advanced knowledge of MEP systems and data centre infrastructure
• Proficiency in cost estimation software such as CostX or Causeway
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
• Proven project management and contract administration expertise
• In-depth understanding of data centre design and construction principles
