Senior MEP Cost Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) specific deliverables within larger projects or direct MEP commissions
• Manage feasibility studies, procurement reports, estimating, and cost planning
• Oversee tendering and procurement processes, including single and two-stage methods
• Manage post-contract cost variances, change control, and monthly cost reporting
• Perform cost checks and valuations on large projects
• Negotiate and agree final accounts
• Interface with clients and other consultants throughout all project stages
• Mentor and lead Assistant Cost Managers and Cost Managers within the MEP team

Requirements

• Proven track record in cost management or quantity surveying across the full project lifecycle
• Professional qualification (RICS or similar) or currently working towards it
• Degree or HNC level qualification
• Experience delivering MEP elements of work for clients
• Strong knowledge of and contacts within the MEP supply chain
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in digital software for cost management services
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
