Senior Mendix Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy high-quality Mendix applications using best-practice architecture and development patterns.
• Develop complex domain models, microflows, nanoflows, workflows, and custom components using Java actions.
• Implement robust Mendix security models adhering to the principle of least privilege.
• Integrate Mendix applications with external systems via REST, SOAP, OData, Kafka, and identity providers.
• Design and deliver Mendix mobile applications with a focus on offline synchronization and high performance.
• Mentor and coach junior and intermediate-level Mendix developers on advanced techniques and best practices.
• Lead technical discussions, solution-design workshops, and sprint planning sessions.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and maintainability.

Requirements

• Mendix Advanced or Expert certification (Expert strongly preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in Mendix application development with at least one complex application delivered to production.
• Expert-level knowledge of domain modeling, microflows, nanoflows, and Mendix security models.
• Proficiency in Java and JavaScript for custom actions and performance optimization.
• Advanced SQL skills, including writing and optimizing complex queries and joins.
• Experience with Git-based development, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
• Strong experience with REST/SOAP web services and API design/documentation.
• Expertise in Mendix Mobile, including offline/sync logic and secure mobile storage.
• Proven ability to design and maintain comprehensive technical documentation (LLD, API docs).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience leading Mendix development teams.
• Experience with Mendix tools such as QSM.
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and private cloud Mendix deployments.
• Participation in Mendix Capture the Flag (CTF) events or knowledge of Mendix security vulnerabilities.
