Senior Memory Systems Design Engineer - FPGA

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize complex digital systems using Xilinx FPGAs (Zynq, UltraScale+, Versal architectures)
• Develop and maintain RTL code using VHDL/Verilog for high-speed digital signal processing applications
• Architect reusable, parameterizable IP cores and custom interfaces including PCIe, AXI4, and DDR memory controllers
• Develop embedded software and low-level firmware for Zynq SoCs and ARM Cortex processors using C/C++
• Lead FPGA system validation and verification efforts using tools like ChipScope and ILA
• Perform signal integrity analysis, timing closure, and troubleshoot complex hardware-software integration issues
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in architectural design reviews

Requirements

• 5-7 years of proven experience in FPGA design and development
• Extensive hands-on experience with Xilinx FPGAs (Zynq-7000, Zynq UltraScale+) and Vivado Design Suite
• Strong RTL design skills with VHDL or Verilog
• Experience with embedded firmware development in C/C++ for ARM Cortex processors
• Proficiency with high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, DDR3/4, and NAND Flash
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Familiarity with version control (Git, SVN) and scripting languages (Python, Tcl, or Bash)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of machine learning principles and implementation on FPGA platforms
• Experience with other FPGA vendors such as Intel/Altera, Microsemi, or Lattice
• Familiarity with High-Level Synthesis (HLS) for ML workloads and AI acceleration frameworks
