Responsibilities

• Build outbound lead-qualification agents calling thousands of prospects daily
• Run 24/7 inbound service agents for policy questions, certificate requests, and claims
• Ship voice agents for complex 20–30 minute insurance applications
• Build custom infrastructure to support sub-700ms latency and 10,000+ concurrent calls
• Design systems where every conversation becomes structured decision traces for continuous learning

Requirements

• 3–6 years of software engineering experience
• Proven track record of building production voice AI at real volume
• Experience with fast deployment tools (VAPI, Retell) and custom infrastructure (Pipecat, LiveKit)
• Deep understanding of telephony protocols including SIP, RTP, and WebRTC
• Experience achieving sub-second latency in production environments
• Proficiency writing code with AI tools like Cursor or Claude Code

Preferred Qualifications

• Specific telephony background (SIP/RTP)
• Hands-on experience with VAPI, Retell, Pipecat, or LiveKit
• Prior experience in a high-growth startup environment
