Senior Medical Scientific Liaison

Responsibilities

• Identify, establish, and maintain productive relationships with KOLs, healthcare professionals, and academic institutions.
• Gather scientific insights and feedback to inform medical affairs and commercial strategies.
• Disseminate up-to-date scientific and medical information to HCPs and internal stakeholders.
• Respond to medical inquiries and provide evidence-based information regarding products and clinical data.
• Plan and deliver scientific presentations and educational programs.
• Provide senior-level medical input on clinical study protocols, design, and data analysis.
• Support the identification and recruitment of investigators for clinical trials and observational studies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and regulatory affairs, to support product lifecycle management.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior MSLs to support their professional growth.
• Ensure all activities adhere to industry regulations, company policies, and compliance guidelines.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in a relevant life sciences field (MD, PharmD, MPH, or PhD).
• 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, clinical practice, or academia.
• Proven leadership and mentorship skills with the ability to guide team members.
• Exceptional scientific acumen and the ability to interpret complex clinical data.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated success in building influential relationships with external stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory guidelines and compliance requirements.
• Fluency in English (both spoken and written).
• Ability to travel based on business needs.
• Ophthalmology expertise is preferred.
