Senior Medical Science Liaison (Nephrology)

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with Healthcare Providers (HCPs) and Thought Leaders to disseminate clinical and scientific information regarding Nephrology programs
• Contribute to the design and execution of Medical Affairs strategy by providing external stakeholder insights
• Engage HCPs in response to scientific educational and research needs using available Vertex resources
• Incorporate the medical plan into territory planning and capture feedback in the CRM system to inform internal stakeholders
• Represent Vertex at medical congresses through scientific session coverage, booth staffing, and routine Thought Leader interactions
• Assist clinical development and operations by presenting Investigator Brochure (IB) material and providing trial site nominations
• Mentor or train colleagues, including assisting with new hire MSL onboarding

Requirements

• Advanced biomedical or life sciences degree (e.g., Masters, NP, PA)
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an MSL supporting Nephrology programs or in other medical affairs roles within the pharma/biotech industry
• In-depth understanding of the healthcare regulatory environment and compliance frameworks
• Strong knowledge of Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR)
• Ability to effectively present complex clinical and scientific information in varied settings
• Proficiency in using CRM and data analytics tools for territory management
