Senior Medical Science Liaison

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary scientific and clinical resource to Opinion Leaders, Population Health Decision Makers, and healthcare providers
• Execute medical function and product strategy to advance the obesity-related scientific platform
• Conduct in-depth scientific exchange to provide balanced clinical and scientific information
• Engage with clinical investigators and sites to support the obesity pipeline
• Provide field observations and insights to internal stakeholders to inform company strategies
• Lead or support congress activities and speaker training
• Partner across Amgen field roles to create a coordinated experience for customers
• Manage administrative responsibilities including CRM usage and expense reporting

Requirements

• Doctorate degree with 2 years of Medical Affairs experience, OR
• Master’s degree with 6 years of Medical Affairs experience, OR
• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of Medical Affairs experience
• Strong scientific communication skills
• Expertise in relationship management with external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O.
• Seven or more years in a medically related field, including clinical or medical research
• 2+ years of experience in a Medical Science Liaison role within biotech or pharmaceuticals
• Expertise in Cardiometabolic or Obesity therapeutic areas
• Previous experience managing the designated territory (MN, IA, WI)
