Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist – Anatomical Pathology

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee complex histopathology procedures, including specimen grossing, tissue processing, microtomy, cryotomy, and staining
• Ensure accurate specimen management, tracking, and adherence to chain of custody and quality protocols
• Perform, validate, and monitor H&E, special stains, and immunohistochemistry (IHC)
• Conduct quality control activities, investigate non-conformities, and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Supervise the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and manage inventory
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and training to junior laboratory technologists and support staff
• Collaborate with pathologists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic results
• Ensure compliance with ISO 15189, CAP, JCI, EIAC, and other regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, or a related discipline
• Current professional licensure/registration (e.g., DOH, DHA, or equivalent)
• Significant experience in Anatomical Pathology/Histopathology, including grossing, tissue processing, and IHC
• Strong knowledge of laboratory quality management systems and accreditation standards (ISO 15189, CAP, JCI, EIAC)
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills in a clinical laboratory environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills within a fast-paced setting
