About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinically competent medical care services and patient support within a clinical setting.
  • Direct individual patient care activities including interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information on charts.
  • Perform clinical tasks such as drawing and collecting blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory analysis, and conducting diagnostic tests.
  • Manage administrative duties including scheduling appointments, data entry, and assisting in the examination process under provider direction.
  • Maintain clinic environment by disinfecting surfaces, changing exam room paper, and managing supply inventory.
  • Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, infection control protocols, and all federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines.
  • Utilize EMR and MS Office Suite software to manage patient data and documentation.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in medical assisting or graduation from an accredited vocational Medical Assistant program.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
  • Phlebotomy Certification from an accrediting training course.
  • Active/Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • 4+ years of relevant clinical experience (e.g., Primary Care, Family Care, Internal Medicine, Occupational Health, or Urgent Care).
  • Ability to successfully pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current certification in Audio and Drug Testing Collection.
  • Experience working with Veterans, Service Members, and Federal Employees.
  • Experience performing EKG, PFTs, ABIs, venipuncture, and lab processing.
