Senior Mechanical Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives in all aspects of the Reliability Engineer role.
• Own the equipment maintenance strategy, including defining and administering equipment care programs.
• Manage criticality assessments and implement predictive maintenance (PdM) principles to ensure asset health.
• Develop and refine critical mechanical preventative maintenance (PM) routes in collaboration with mechanics and planners.
• Facilitate Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to identify physical, human, and latent causes to eliminate recurring failures.
• Support the Global Manufacturing System (GMS) and participate in MWS meetings to prioritize work orders.
• Develop and maintain five-year repair plans for critical equipment and assist in capital plan development.
• Identify and drive cost-saving opportunities within the assigned area.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in a Pulp & Paper facility.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and SAP PM applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage and lead multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance roles within industrial settings.
• Knowledge of utilities and boiler maintenance.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
