About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of industrial piping systems and pressure vessels
- Perform detailed engineering calculations and analysis to ensure system integrity and safety
- Develop and review P&IDs, isometric drawings, and other technical documentation
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines for seamless execution
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and compliance
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design team members
- Manage the development of company standards to ensure consistency and quality
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain within 2 years
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, FEA, PIPE-FLOW, Codeware Inspect, and AutoPipe
- Significant experience with industry standards including ASME, ANSI, API, and PIP
- Proven experience leading and managing engineering projects from concept to completion
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or advanced degree in a relevant field
- Significant experience with ASME piping and vessel design
- Engineering experience involving heat transfer and fluid dynamics
- Experience serving on an industrial standards steering committee
- Deep knowledge of pressure piping and components such as flanges, valves, and expansion joints
