About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of industrial piping systems and pressure vessels
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations and analysis to ensure system integrity and safety
  • Develop and review P&IDs, isometric drawings, and other technical documentation
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines for seamless execution
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and compliance
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design team members
  • Manage the development of company standards to ensure consistency and quality
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering
  • Current Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain within 2 years
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, FEA, PIPE-FLOW, Codeware Inspect, and AutoPipe
  • Significant experience with industry standards including ASME, ANSI, API, and PIP
  • Proven experience leading and managing engineering projects from concept to completion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or advanced degree in a relevant field
  • Significant experience with ASME piping and vessel design
  • Engineering experience involving heat transfer and fluid dynamics
  • Experience serving on an industrial standards steering committee
  • Deep knowledge of pressure piping and components such as flanges, valves, and expansion joints
