About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own the unit risk-based inspection program and provide work selection recommendations
  • Plan inspections using appropriate coverage and NDE techniques
  • Analyze inspection results and recommend future actions
  • Perform mechanical analysis for required thickness and fitness for service assessments
  • Develop and review fixed equipment repair plans, rerates, and modifications
  • Provide repair and replacement specifications, including calculations and drawings
  • Participate in equipment materials selection, upgrades, and welding support
  • Provide input for Annual Maintenance and Turnaround work lists
  • Drive site asset improvement in safety, reliability, and environmental performance
  • Support capital projects through design consulting and technical quality assurance

Requirements

  • B.S. (or higher) degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Corrosion Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Fixed (Stationary) Equipment Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Integrity Engineering
  • Experience working within a petrochemical facility

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as ASME Sec VIII, B31.3, API 510, 570, and 579
  • Familiarity with fixed equipment design software including Caesar II, PV Elite, Compress, or Sage+
