Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of next-generation products from design concept to manufacturing release
• Lead mechanical design and analysis for components involving micro-electronics and industrial design specifications
• Create complex SolidWorks CAD models for simulation, prototyping, and mass production qualification
• Generate technical documentation including 3D files, 2D drawings, BOMs, and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
• Design testing protocols and validation plans, managing the end-to-end testing process
• Perform engineering root cause analyses to identify and resolve technical issues
• Mentor junior mechanical engineers and promote engineering best practices
• Travel internationally up to 20% of the time to work with vendors and manufacturers

Requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in the design, documentation, and validation of complex mechanical parts for high-volume consumer electronics
• 4+ years of SolidWorks CAD experience, including advanced assemblies and complex configuration management
• 2+ years of experience working directly with Tier 1 and 2 contract manufacturers in Asia and North America
• Extensive experience with injection molded plastic components, die castings, and metal injection molding
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
