Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Interface with hardware teams (electrical, RF) to implement system requirements
• Lead design and implementation of hardware, including 3D CAD modeling and documentation
• Conduct structural, shock, vibration, and thermal analyses
• Identify and specify components and vendors
• Support assembly, integration, and testing of electro-mechanical hardware
• Provide technical information for reviews such as SRRs, PDRs, and CDRs

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required with ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
• Experience using SolidWorks for 3D design and documentation
• Expertise in structural, vibration, shock, and thermal analyses using ANSYS
• Experience designing to specifications such as MIL-STD-810
• Experience with integration and test activities
• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, or Master's with 3+ years, or PhD

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance
