Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, integrate, and test sensing and counter sensing systems for radar, electronic warfare, and sonar applications
• Develop field deployable prototypes for transition to low-volume product systems
• Perform FEA to simulate physical phenomena and predict product reactions to real-world forces
• Plan, execute, monitor, and report on project progress with strong design evolution record keeping
• Conduct performance trade studies and analyses of proposed hardware architectures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to quantify goals, performance objectives, and risks

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related technical discipline with 5 years of experience (or MS with 3 years)
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks
• Knowledge of FEA techniques
• Experience in rapid prototype development
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
• Strong mathematical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret or TS/SCI Clearance
• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Physics
• Experience in electronics packaging for harsh environments
• Experience in antenna and RF system design
• Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints
