Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review engineering developed during various project stages (FEL, detail) to ensure constructability.
• Propose technical solutions to optimize construction processes, reducing risks, costs, and timelines.
• Define construction sequences, methodologies, and activity durations in collaboration with the planning team.
• Lead and facilitate constructability workshops, integrating various disciplines and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and process engineering disciplines to ensure designs are compatible with construction.
• Identify construction risks and propose effective mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical support during execution stages and potentially in the field.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering with professional license (Colegiado).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the construction of mining projects.
• Proven experience in managing and executing electromechanical assemblies in concentrator plants or other industrial mining facilities.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Solid knowledge of construction processes, assembly, commissioning, and startup.
• Experience with the installation of rotating equipment, static equipment, steel structures, and piping systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in FEL2 / FEL3 engineering stages integrating constructability.
