Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage the mechanical engineering department and optimize resource utilization
• Lead mechanical design, design reviews, and supervision during construction
• Oversee all project stages including schematic design, detailed design, D&B, IFC, and execution
• Detect and resolve BIM model clashes in collaboration with BIM specialists
• Ensure QA/QC compliance and coordination with MEP, structural, and architectural disciplines
• Prepare and review BOQs, specs, technical reports, submittals, and tender packages
• Support site teams with technical evaluations and compliance oversight
• Contribute to proposal efforts by defining scope and estimating resources
• Participate in technical reviews and value engineering workshops

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical and electromechanical engineering with leadership responsibilities
• Proven experience in design and construction supervision of complex MEP systems
• Proficiency in Revit MEP and Navisworks
• Experience managing BIM deliverables (LOD 300–500)
• Deep understanding of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and pumping systems
• Skilled in AutoCAD
• Strong familiarity with KSA, MEA, GCC, and international codes
• Fluent in English and Arabic
• Willingness to travel regionally to Egypt and KSA

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Energy, or Environmental Engineering
• Knowledge of Primavera or MS Project
• Fluency in French
