Senior Mechanical Engineer, Robotics

Responsibilities

• Own the full product lifecycle of actuators, structures, and enclosures from design through manufacturing ramp
• Study system behavior across mechanical, electrical, and software boundaries to improve performance
• Drive reliability and safety compliance efforts for international expansion
• Make informed engineering decisions using analysis, simulations, and experiments
• Use SOLIDWORKS to create parts, assemblies, and drawings using GD&T
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to the hardware team
• Collaborate with international vendors to meet project timelines

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience designing robotics or complex electro-mechanical systems
• Deep knowledge of actuators, sensors, BLDC motors, and machine elements
• Proven experience in the full product development cycle from concept to production
• Proficiency in engineering analysis including FEA, tolerance analysis, and thermal analysis
• Hands-on experience building and debugging electro-mechanical systems
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with formal product certification (UL, CE, etc.)
• Python scripting for testing and data analysis
• Experience with thermal management of integrated assemblies
• Exposure to fluid systems and chemical/material compatibility
• Background in manufacturing and production line setup
