Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support project teams in the design of mechanical systems, fabrication drawings, BOMs, schematics, and assembly drawings
• Coach and mentor junior team members
• Participate in client meetings and internal engineering design reviews
• Generate content for project proposals, including concept development and cost estimation
• Support technicians with problem-solving during the machine build process
• Work to deadlines with minimal supervision

Requirements

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a design engineering role
• Experience coaching or guiding junior team members
• Proficiency with CAD packages, preferably SolidWorks
• Familiarity with motion systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and robotics
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or have lawful status due to export control laws

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with engineering tools such as Mathcad or Ansys (FEA)
• Experience designing mechanisms for automation or complex electro-mechanical systems
• Experience with high-precision mechanical solutions
