Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ownership of OCS package and subassembly designs from prototype through production readiness
• Apply expertise in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
• Utilize GD&T for precision optomechanical interfaces, datums, and inspection plans
• Perform tolerance analysis for optical alignment, mechanical stack-up, and package interfaces
• Generate process flow documentation, build travelers, and assembly sequences
• Conduct DFMEA, PFMEA, and CTQ mapping
• Design and fabricate fixtures for alignment, metrology, and production support
• Design test setups for optical, mechanical, thermal, and process verification
• Maintain BOMs, build standards, and configuration-controlled documentation
• Execute structural, thermal, warpage, and tolerance analyses
• Manage PDM/Arena workflows, ECO discipline, and drawing releases

Requirements

• Master’s Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Optomechanical Engineering, or Packaging Engineering
• 5 years of experience in optomechanical design, optoelectronic packaging, or precision mechanical systems
• Expertise in GD&T and tolerance analysis
• Experience with subcontractor management and supplier technical coordination
• Proficiency with PDM/Arena or similar revision control systems
