Responsibilities

• Lead the design, manufacturing, and deployment of Modular Data Centers
• Select coils, heat exchangers, chillers, compressors, pumps, and other supporting components
• Recommend designs for performance, manufacturability, and ease of deployment
• Evaluate the impact of different refrigerants on overall data center efficiency
• Review internal engineering work and external contractor analysis (CFD and FEA)
• Direct intermediate engineers, drafters, and designers
• Evaluate and select potential contract manufacturers
• Support internal and external manufacturing operations and integrate stakeholder feedback

Requirements

• Professional engineering designation
• 7+ years of experience in design, selection, or manufacturing of mechanical/electrical systems for data centers, HVAC, or large-scale cooling
• Deep understanding of modular data center architecture, codes, and data center tiers
• Expertise in chiller and refrigeration system selection and optimization
• Experience with simulation tools such as CFD and FEA
• Hands-on lab experience designing and executing experiments to validate mechanical system performance
• Ability to interpret experimental data for design improvements
