Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform empirical and simulated rotordynamics using existing tools and new techniques
• Develop software for data acquisition, digital signal processing, and high-speed signal analysis
• Conduct dynamic testing including experimental modal analysis (EMA)
• Design and automate tests
• Perform model verification and validation
• Participate in technical design reviews and paper evaluations
• Prepare and present engineering reports and design documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in rotordynamics or dynamic testing
• Experience with digital signal processing (DSP)
• Software development experience in Python
• Finite element analysis (FEA) experience in ANSYS
• Ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance
• US citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Active DOE Q Clearance
