Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the Company

Mytra is creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry - moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a new class of product for the $1T supply chain market.

Responsibilities

• Create novel electro-mechanical mechanisms and systems for a mobile robotics platform
• Build, debug and support prototype robots
• Develop designs for volume production methods including casting, injection molding, and stamping
• Perform failure modes analysis
• Create work instructions for fabricating robotic systems
• Support robot deployments at customer sites as required
• Redesign robotic systems for volume manufacturing focusing on reliability and cost optimization

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or Mechatronics
• 3+ years of industry experience
• Experience designing and debugging electromechanical systems
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Solidworks or Onshape preferred)
• Hands-on experience with 3D printing, sheet metal design, casting, and injection molding

Preferred Qualifications

• FEA experience (ANSYS preferred)
• Experience drafting engineering drawings and conducting tolerance stack-up analysis
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Experience with embedded/edge devices or electrical system design
