Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for water and wastewater infrastructure projects through outline and detailed design, construction, commissioning, and handover
• Develop technical documentation including P&IDs, valve schedules, pump calculations, and pipework layouts
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary project teams (Electrical, Civil, Geotech, and Process) to ensure delivery on programme and within budget
• Collaborate with commercial, operational, and construction teams to develop practical and safe engineering solutions
• Manage client relationships using a "one-team" approach to support project aims
• Mentor and coach junior engineers to support the development of the mechanical engineering team

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Chartered or incorporated member of a professional institution (e.g., IMechE, ICE) or equivalent experience
• Proven experience within the water or wastewater sector
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to various sites across the operational region
• Strong communication skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving
