Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Supervise all mechanical works on site in accordance with approved Dubai Municipality drawings and DCD fire and life safety requirements
• Oversee execution of Central Domestic Hot Water (DHW) systems, HVAC chilled water, ventilation, and plumbing systems
• Review and technically assess shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and commissioning procedures
• Coordinate and attend Dubai Municipality and DCD inspections to ensure timely compliance
• Ensure fire-related mechanical systems like smoke management and kitchen exhaust are executed per DCD approvals
• Witness testing, commissioning, flushing, and pressure testing of mechanical systems
• Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs, and ensure corrective actions are implemented
• Coordinate with Electrical, ELV, Architectural, and Structural teams to ensure clash-free execution
• Monitor contractor performance and prepare technical supervision reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Minimum 10 years of relevant MEP supervision experience in the UAE
• Completion of at least 2 hospitality projects involving central DHW systems
• Proven experience working with a Consultancy managing MEP subcontractors
• Strong background in hospitality, mixed-use, or high-rise projects in Dubai
• Thorough understanding of UAE authority regulations and inspection protocols
• Experience on the consultant or PMC side is highly preferred
