About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive innovative product development from conceptualization to manufacturing
- Lead ideation of new product architectural concepts for subsystem and system level designs
- Construct and analyze high fidelity proof-of-concept prototypes
- Perform detailed mechanical analysis through FEA, tolerance analysis, and testing
- Collaborate with domestic and international stakeholders
- Preserve Industrial Design artistic intent in mechanical design implementation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum 9 years of product design experience in high-end consumer electronics
- Proficiency with Creo or similar 3D CAD software
- Knowledge of plastic injection molded, stamped metal, die-cast, and machined parts
- Experience designing for high levels of dust/water ingress protection
- Experience with PCB/PCBA flex circuit and electro-mechanical integration
- Strong DFM/DFA skills and assembly tolerance management
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with adhesives and bonded joint design
- Ability to translate product requirements into quantifiable engineering deliverables
