Senior Mechanical Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Drive innovative product development from conceptualization to manufacturing
• Lead ideation of new product architectural concepts for subsystem and system level designs
• Construct and analyze high fidelity proof-of-concept prototypes
• Perform detailed mechanical analysis through FEA, tolerance analysis, and testing
• Collaborate with domestic and international stakeholders
• Preserve Industrial Design artistic intent in mechanical design implementation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Minimum 9 years of product design experience in high-end consumer electronics
• Proficiency with Creo or similar 3D CAD software
• Knowledge of plastic injection molded, stamped metal, die-cast, and machined parts
• Experience designing for high levels of dust/water ingress protection
• Experience with PCB/PCBA flex circuit and electro-mechanical integration
• Strong DFM/DFA skills and assembly tolerance management

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with adhesives and bonded joint design
• Ability to translate product requirements into quantifiable engineering deliverables
