Senior Mechanical Engineer-HVAC

Responsibilities

• Design and review HVAC systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and related mechanical services
• Prepare load calculations, duct sizing, and equipment selection using HAP, Ductulator, AutoCAD, or Revit
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, ASHRAE, SMACNA, and local authority standards
• Prepare technical submittals, shop drawings, and method statements
• Coordinate with MEP and civil teams to resolve design and site-related issues
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning activities at site
• Conduct inspections to ensure works meet approved drawings and quality standards
• Support procurement by preparing material requisitions and reviewing vendor quotations
• Assist in preparing project progress reports and attending coordination meetings
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5–8 years of experience in HVAC design, installation, and site supervision
• Experience in building construction, infrastructure, or oil & gas projects
• Strong knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, and DW144 standards
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office
• Knowledge of HAP or similar software preferred
• UAE/GCC experience is an advantage
