Responsibilities

• Own and understand subsystem designs such as electromagnetic, structural, fluid, thermal and control systems
• Design novel hardware and optimize sub-system and component designs for high volume manufacturing
• Design fusion hardware within 3D CAD software (e.g. NX, Solidworks)
• Perform analysis with tools like ANSYS and hold design reviews to iterate on systems
• Work hands-on alongside experienced technicians to implement hardware designs
• Troubleshoot hardware issues on integrated fusion generators

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 8+ years of professional experience delivering on full-scope engineering projects
• Experience applying engineering first-principles to challenging problems
• Hands-on exposure to mechanical, electrical, and fluids disciplines
• Experience designing, testing, and launching production hardware at scale
• Advanced experience with CAD software (e.g. NX, Solidworks)
• Moderate experience with GD&T and ASME Y14.5
• Moderate experience with FEA software (e.g. ANSYS, FEMAP)
