Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical designs for complex systems across medical devices, consumer products, and robotics
• Act as a Technical Project Owner (T.P.O.) to manage client interactions and technical requirements
• Create and manage complex models using SolidWorks
• Build, test, and iterate on prototypes using CNC machining and rapid prototyping techniques
• Design and conduct validation tests to ensure design compliance with requirements
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including electrical, optical, and software engineers to integrate subsystems

Requirements

• BSME or MSME in Mechanical Engineering
• 8+ years of product development experience in high-tech industrial, consumer products, or precision test equipment
• Expert proficiency in CAD, specifically SolidWorks
• Extensive experience designing plastic components for injection molding and high-volume manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and practical application of engineering tolerancing
• Proven experience in prototyping and fast-iteration development cycles
• Deep understanding of material properties and selection based on application requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical design and analysis for consumer electronics
• Working knowledge of integrating PCBs and electrical components into product designs
• Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, UL, or CE standards
• Knowledge of automation, servo, and electro-mechanical systems
• Proficiency in SolidWorks PDM and thermal modeling/CFD
