Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect, prototype, and design hardware subsystems for next-generation 3D printers
• Act as a technical leader within a multidisciplinary group of mechanical, systems, and electrical engineers
• Design, review, and guide the work of junior colleagues
• Prototype new systems and mechanisms, test materials, and research 3D printing challenges
• Ensure product performance, reliability, and manufacturability through careful system decisions

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in mechanical engineering
• Proven track record with the full product development cycle
• Strong background in electro-mechanical systems
• Knowledge of thermal systems, optical systems, and sensor design
• Familiarity with various manufacturing methods for high-volume and high-performance products
• Ability to provide a portfolio or work samples with your application

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with polymers and polymer chemistry
• Experience with electronics and circuit design
• Proficiency in programming (Python)
• Experience with PLM/document control systems
• Background in industrial design
