Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect, prototype, and design hardware subsystems for next-generation 3D printers
• Act as a technical leader within a multidisciplinary group of mechanical, systems, and electrical engineers
• Design, review, and guide the work of junior engineering colleagues
• Prototype new systems and mechanisms, test materials, and research complex 3D printing challenges
• Ensure product performance, manufacturability, and reliability through careful system decisions

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in mechanical engineering
• Proven background in electro-mechanical systems
• Experience with the full product development cycle
• Knowledge of thermal systems, optical systems, and sensor design
• Expertise in various manufacturing methods for high-volume and high-performance products
• Ability to communicate effectively with global vendors and suppliers
• Must submit a portfolio or work samples with your application

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with polymers and polymer chemistry
• Experience with electronics and circuit design
• Proficiency in Python programming
• Experience with PLM/document control systems
• Background in industrial design
