Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect, prototype, and design the hardware subsystems of next-generation 3D printers
• Lead technical decisions regarding performance, manufacturability, and reliability
• Act as a technical leader within a multidisciplinary group of mechanical, systems, and electrical engineers
• Prototype new mechanisms, test materials, and research complex 3D printing challenges
• Guide and review the work of junior engineering colleagues

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in mechanical engineering
• Proven background in electro-mechanical systems
• Experience managing the full product development cycle
• Knowledge of thermal systems, optical systems, and sensor design
• Familiarity with various manufacturing methods for high-volume, high-performance products
• Ability to communicate effectively with global vendors and suppliers
• Must submit a portfolio or work samples with your application

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with polymers and polymer chemistry
• Experience with electronics and circuit design
• Proficiency in Python programming
• Knowledge of PLM/document control systems
• Background in industrial design
