Senior Mechanical Engineer, Fluids

Responsibilities

• Own and understand designs related to fluids, thermal, and structural subsystems
• Design fusion hardware within 3D CAD software (e.g. NX)
• Perform analysis with in-house and out-of-house tools (e.g. ANSYS Fluent)
• Hold design reviews to gather feedback and iterate to a fully functioning system
• Work hands-on alongside experienced technicians to implement hardware designs
• Troubleshoot hardware issues on integrated fusion generators
• Improve subsystem requirements and design novel hardware

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 7+ years of professional experience delivering full-scope engineering projects
• Experience applying engineering first-principles and method-based thinking
• Hands-on exposure to fluids, mechanical, and thermal engineering disciplines
• Advanced experience with CAD software such as NX or Solidworks
