Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform design of experiments (DOE) to redesign systems and develop sustainable solutions
• Maintain and update machine center documentation including schematics, manuals, and P&ID
• Source parts through schematics and spare parts manuals
• Create work orders and preventative maintenance schedules through D365
• Coordinate and facilitate the scheduling of machine overhauls
• Drive process improvements and present findings to the Engineering Department
• Schedule downtime repairs with packaging, maintenance, and project managers
• Demonstrate leadership by teaching technicians how to perform PMs
• Validate and characterize new processes, equipment, and fixtures for production
• Perform BDA and RCA for production floor issues
• Drive Mean Time Before Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Experience in high speed manufacturing, dairy processing, or packaging
• Ability to understand and utilize engineering drawings, operating manuals, and blueprints
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs occasionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt accreditation
