About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform design of experiments (DOE) to redesign systems and develop sustainable solutions
- Maintain and update machine center documentation including schematics, manuals, and P&ID
- Source parts through schematics and spare parts manuals
- Create work orders and preventative maintenance schedules through D365
- Coordinate and facilitate the scheduling of machine overhauls
- Drive process improvements and present findings to the Engineering Department
- Schedule downtime repairs with packaging, maintenance, and project managers
- Demonstrate leadership by teaching technicians how to perform PMs
- Validate and characterize new processes, equipment, and fixtures for production
- Perform BDA and RCA for production floor issues
- Drive Mean Time Before Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Experience in high speed manufacturing, dairy processing, or packaging
- Ability to understand and utilize engineering drawings, operating manuals, and blueprints
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs occasionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt accreditation
