About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of full electrode assemblies or complex sub-assemblies for battery cells
- Develop functional requirements and DFMEAs in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams
- Perform hands-on prototyping and collaborate with manufacturing to implement DFM/DFA feedback
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience (or 3+ with a Master's)
- Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD modeling and drafting
- Expertise in DFMA for sheet metal and injection molded plastic components
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with batteries, energy storage, fuel cells, or electrolyzers
- Experience with plating technologies
- Experience with mechanical system verification using FEA
