Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and design complex electromechanical systems, including plastic, metal, and soft goods components integrated with novel sensors and actuators
• Drive designs across the entire development lifecycle, including brainstorming, CAD, prototyping, testing, and production ramp in Asia
• Solve cross-functional problems by collaborating with electrical, software, reliability, and manufacturing engineering teams
• Perform thermal, fluid, and structural analyses and testing to ensure designs meet product goals
• Collaborate with industrial design, marketing, and product teams to shape product direction and features

Requirements

• 3+ years of consumer product design experience
• Knowledge of injection molding, sheet metal forming, and sensor/electronics integration
• Experience shipping high-volume consumer products, including manufacturing support in Asia
• Proficiency in 3D modeling (Solidworks, NX, or Creo)
• Experience with DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis, and GD&T
• BSME or equivalent degree
• Ability and willingness to travel to China as needed
